Marketing and Communications Coordinator
ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:
Face to Face Health and Counseling is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing economic and health equity for youth ages 11–24. We do this work through a comprehensive approach that includes housing, mental health, medical, youth justice, education and employment, and community services. We take a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to our work and center the needs of young people impacted by racism and other forms of oppression and marginalization. Founded in 1972, Face to Face serves more than 3,000 youth annually.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to reach young people and the community through a mix of communication methods (e.g., website, email, print, video, social media, etc.). The coordinator generates compelling content that supports the organization's mission and priorities. High quality projects are delivered through the effective management of timelines, people, and resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a strategic marketing and communication plan in partnership with the department director including objective-setting, measurement, and monitoring for all organization communications.
- Maintain brand identity and organizational voice through written and visual content.
- Lead marketing and communications efforts and support staff with strategies to provide organization information, attract resources, drive community engagement, and inform youth of services.
- Manage content schedule, collection, writing, editing, production, and distribution.
- Serve as a writer and content creator, including writing articles, impact stories, newsletter content, emails, website content, social media posts, and talking points.
- Manage direct mail and email fundraising campaigns.
- Provide strategic direction to graphic design, photography, and videography.
- Serve as a graphic design resource for social media posts, email headers, print materials, advertisements, etc. using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Analyze performance metrics to increase effectiveness of marketing communications campaigns and website content.
- Maintain a media database while cultivating new and existing media relationships to promote the organization.
- Provide all services guided by the evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of one year relevant marketing and communications experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills (internal and external).
- Experience managing projects and working with deadlines.
- Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges.
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion to think innovatively about advancing racial equity and social justice.
- Experience and high comfort level with digital tools including content management systems, mass email systems, and social media platforms.
- PC competent with experience in using Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and proficiency with creative software such as Adobe Creative Suite, (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) or Canva.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial and cultural backgrounds.

LOCATION:
Hybrid – This role allows for a mix of onsite and remote work, based on the needs of the organization. Employees are required to be fully onsite during the initial 3-month training period.

- This job is full-time at 37.5 hours a week.

PAY & BENEFITS:
The pay rate for this position is between $25 - $27/hour, based on qualifications.
